Inky Editions will be holding a monoprinting workshop with Beth Thielen Saturday & Sunday, February 27 & 28 (10am-4pm)
A monoprint is a one of a kind print. A monoprint can be very painterly as seen in Degas or Cassatt. It can have a very linear or abstract quality as seen in the works of Wayne Thiebaud. Mono-printing is known for its immediacy and It’s for any artist looking to break out of set patterns in their work.
The class will explore direct painting and drawing on plexiglass plates, inking found objects, creating templates, embossing, and ghost printing. We will be using non-toxic oil based inks that clean up with soap and water. No experience. necessary. $240 (members)
