The Columbia County Council on the Arts’ Annual Juried Art Show celebrates the diversity and quality of the work being produced by Columbia County and regional artists.
This year’s show is curated by photographer Jack Shear, director of the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation and a long-time resident of Columbia County. Shear, whose photographs concentrate on black and white portraiture, has been exhibited widely and his work is in numerous museums and private collections. Exhibitions curated by Shear include Twice Drawn at the Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, and Drawn from Artists’ Collections at the Drawing Center in New York City, which traveled to the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
